I had a 5am start this morning. I’m all for early morning WODs, but doing one at 3am would definitely NOT benefit me.

So, I finally got in to my hotel room about almost two hours ago and headed straight to the ‘fitness room’.

It frustrates me that most of these ‘fitness rooms’ have a stationary bike, a treadmill, and a water cooler. …and that’s it.

This one had a full set of dumbbells, a pullup station, a stretching station, an elliptical, a treadmill, AND foam rollers!

So… here’s what I did!

WOD 1-9-15

Warm up:

  • Stair stepper – 30 mins

Main set:

  • 10 air squats
  • 10 pushups
  • 10 mountain climbers
  • 10 chinups

Repeat at least 5 times through… I got through 11 sets before I just ran out of steam. Go slow, but keep going. Concentrate on form, breathing, and each rep individually until you get through the set. Then keep going.

When your body tells you to stop, then stop. Don’t let your head get in the way.

Cool down: Treadmill – 30 mins, then 15 mins of stretching.

Hydrate and get adequate nourishment.

That’s it! Plan for a long run/walk/activity sometime this weekend. Get out and go!
