I’ve been blogging, and putting myself out into the interwebs, since 1997. I post almost everything – the good, the bad, the ugly… It’s been a therapeutic release for me.

I love God and my kiddos and put them before anything else in my life.

I’m good at everything I do, but only because I work HARD at it.

In a room of average people I will stand out, but in a room of real talent I would not even get noticed.

I’m a lover, not a fighter. But I’m also a fighter.

…and die hard obstacle course racer.

I’ve been paid to clean toilets, yards, and dishes. I’ve also been paid to re-organize a multi-million dollar organization, teach people how to fly, and help people develop a community amongst other college students.

If it’s a sport I’ve played it – probably at a competitive level.

While I don’t know the meaning of life, I’ve discovered the purpose of it.

The one thing that truly bothers me is people who are so close-minded that they never bother looking for the truth.

I don’t know what a silver spoon tastes like. I’ve worked for EVERYTHING I have.

I used to ride a sport bike because of the release it gives me, not for the danger of it. I’ve raced cars through the hole shot and around a track.

It doesn’t happen often, but when I love, I love hard, deep, and fully.

I’ve jumped out of a plane, swam down a raging river, and swung through a jungle on a vine. There was a time I was known as F/Sgt. Nieva. I’ve also been known as Turtle, Spike, Al, Big Al, and CanaPino.

I know what it’s like to squat and deadlift over 500lbs, but can also complete a sub 5-minute Fran.

I am loyal to a fault…

It bothers me when I get grouped with the general thought that *all* pilots are unfaithful wankers. I believe marriage was meant to be forever and that unfaithfulness is the utmost form of selfishness.

The truth is, you won’t find a more faithful person than me.

My longest relationship was 16 years and I was faithful the entire time.

People come to me on a regular basis for advice on computers, cars, and life. I pray before I eat.

I love to eat.

I love finding good quotations – they are epiphanies other people have had that give you a great starting point to discover your own.

I’m a giver – I am happiest when I get to give to others through service or actions. I do not need anything in return as the action of giving is what makes me happy.

I think farting is funny. And gross..

My greatest regret in life is that I wasn’t a better brother.

Of the five Love Languages, mine is touch. I show and receive love through touch.

I love movies where guys kick ass, blow up stuff, and get the girl.

I love chocolate, steak, and pizza.

My biggest wish is that people would learn to communicate, especially when things get difficult – it would solve so many things.

I will buy a car in any color, as long as it’s silver.

I have the job I would be doing if I didn’t have to work.

I love meeting new people and staying connected to them.

I’m a BlackBerry addict. I like trying new things, but when I find something I like I stick with it.

I’m a nice guy.

I can make my ears, eyebrows, nostrils, and hair move.

I’m a bad gambler. I’m a good shot. I don’t eat anything that eats their own poop.

I feel sorry for those who have nothing better to do than laugh at, be critical of or try to be hurtful towards other people. I pray for them.

I love jokes. Even bad ones. I love to laugh.

I will cry with you to share your pain.

I believe in the power of ice cream.
